Who we are

What we collect
We collect personal information when you:
- Submit the contact form on this website (name, phone, email, property location, message).
- Use the on-site chat assistant (the messages you type).
- Contact us by phone, SMS, or email (the contact details and content of your message).
- Engage us as a client (your horse's clinical records and our visit notes).
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, schedule and deliver veterinary services, maintain clinical records, and meet our professional and legal obligations as a veterinary practice.
How we store it
Information submitted through this website is sent over a secure connection to our backend service (Google Cloud Run, hosted in Sydney, Australia) and forwarded as email via Resend. The website is delivered through Firebase Hosting and protected at the edge by Cloudflare. Clinical records are kept securely for the period required by veterinary regulation.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with: (a) other veterinary professionals where you ask us to (e.g. a referral or pre-purchase report); (b) trusted suppliers acting on our instructions (Resend, Cloudflare, Google Cloud); (c) regulators or law enforcement where required.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled to understand aggregate site traffic. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. You can disable analytics by blocking www.googletagmanager.comin your browser's settings.
For bot protection on the contact form we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which does not use tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing admin@horseveterinarian.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no cost. Some clinical records are retained as required by veterinary regulation regardless of deletion requests.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
